About Us
The Warehouse Bar & Grille has been a River Street staple since 1992, welcoming locals and visitors alike with cold beer, hearty food, live music, and an atmosphere that never tries too hard. Located inside one of Savannah's historic 19th-century riverfront warehouses, the building is part of the city's rich maritime history, when these stone structures stored cotton and cargo arriving from around the world before River Street became the vibrant destination it is today.
Owned by Savannah natives Jennifer and Tim Strickland, whose family has helped shape River Street for decades through River Street Sweets and the River Street Restaurant Group, The Warehouse was founded on a simple idea: create a neighborhood bar where great music, cold beer, honest food, and good company come first. More than 30 years later, that philosophy remains unchanged.
While River Street has evolved over the years, The Warehouse has stayed true to what made it a local favorite in the first place. It's the kind of place where tourists become regulars, strangers become friends, and every visit feels like you've stumbled onto Savannah's best-kept secret. There's no dress code, no pretense, and no pressure, just a welcoming atmosphere where everyone is invited to pull up a chair and stay awhile.
Whether you're winding down after a day exploring the Historic District, catching up with friends over a few drinks, or discovering your new favorite local hangout, The Warehouse offers an authentic River Street experience that's equal parts history, hospitality, and fun. It's not about being fancy, it's about being genuine. That's what has kept guests coming back for more than three decades, and it's what continues to make The Warehouse a place worth returning to.
